The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter leader, Altaf Ahmed Butt, has paid rich tributes to noted freedom activist Abdul Majeed Dar on his 20th martyrdom anniversary.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Abdul Majeed Dar was martyred by unknown attackers outside his house in Sopore town on this day in 2003.

Altaf Ahmed Butt in a statement in Islamabad said that martyred Abdul Majeed Dar had played an important role in ongoing movement. He said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not be allowed to go waste and their mission would be accomplished at all costs.

He also congratulated the government and people of Pakistan on the Pakistan Day. He thanked Pakistan for its continued support to the Kashmiris in their struggle for freedom from India.

He said that the ongoing freedom movement in IIOJK is the continuation of the Pakistan Movement and the Kashmiris see the aggressive stance taken by Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Syed Asim Munir against India, during his first visit to the Line of Control in the context of the historic Pakistan Resolution of March 23, 1940.—INP
