Ali Hassam Asghar has been elected unopposed as President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), while Sardar Usman Ghani and Khadim Hussain have been elected Senior Vice President and Vice President, respectively.
The three office-bearers were elected without a contest after no other candidates submitted nomination papers for the top LCCI positions.
Nomination papers were filed on September 26, followed by scrutiny that continued until September 28. The papers submitted by Ali Hassam Asghar, Sardar Usman Ghani and Khadim Hussain were declared valid, paving the way for their unopposed election.
The LCCI Elections 2026 were held in two phases. Polling for the Corporate Class took place on September 23, followed by voting for the Associate Class on September 24. The Election Commission subsequently compiled the results of both phases.
In the Corporate Class, 15 candidates were elected. They included Ali Hassam Asghar with 1,700 votes, Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim with 1,638, Hamid Raza with 1,605, Syed Yousaf Jameel Hussain Rizvi with 1,588, Azim Iftikhar with 1,585, Mardan Ali Zaidi with 1,570, Tariq Mahmood with 1,562, Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhry with 1,549, Hamad Mahmood with 1,544, Chaudhry Muhammad Fargham with 1,541, Muhammad Ali with 1,535, Muhammad Umar Abdullah Chaudhry with 1,512, Chaudhry Tahir Manzoor with 1,478, Amir Ata Bari with 1,460 and Hamza Majeed with 1,455 votes.
The Associate Class also returned 15 Vision Alliance candidates. Syed Azmat Ali secured 5,428 votes, followed by Zaman Naseeb with 5,421, Shahab Basharat with 5,416, Maqbool Siddique with 5,390, Adil Babar Khan with 5,385, Khadim Hussain with 5,382, Shehzad Mahmood with 5,370, Naveed Ayub with 5,355, Sahir Mushtaq with 5,351, Sardar Usman Ghani with 5,344, Muhammad Ijaz Ghori with 5,306, Muhammad Yasin with 5,305, Ali Raza with 5,305, Shah Bahram with 5,166 and Shehzad Ali Shah with 4,990 votes.
With the completion of polling for both classes and the election of the three principal office-bearers, the LCCI’s 2026 election process has been completed in line with the prescribed rules and schedule.
