A court in the Indian state of Gujarat has acquitted two innocent clerics from Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir detained in a 2006 false case.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the two clerics, Bilal Ahmed and Syed Zabiuddin, both from Baramulla district of occupied Kashmir, were accused of spreading terrorism by receiving training to carry out terrorist attacks in Gujarat.
Ahmedabad City Additional Sessions Court Judge, Justice Prashant Sheth, ordered their acquittal after considering that witness statements did not support the prosecution’s case.
There was no evidence that the two, in conspiracy with other accused, were planning or involved in any terror attacks, the Judge said as per the Indian media reports.—KMS
