Abducted person recovered in Rangers, SIU operation, four held

SindhRangers in a joint operation with the SIU team rescued abducted GhulamShabbir and arrested kidnappers; Ahmad Shah alias Major Asfandyar alias Arsalan,fake Major Intelligence Agency Muhammad Arshad, Sub Inspector CTD, sheet clerk ?KhurramWaris alias Butt. Excise Department Clifton Civil Informer?Shahid Khan alias Mitha, Brother-in-law of abducted GhulamShabir
Weapons and ammunition werealso recovered from the kidnappers. The Rangers received a report on Helpline 1101 that on April 27, 2020, some unidentified persons, who were posing as intelligence personnel, kidnapped one GhulamShabbirfrom Mahmoodabad area in a double cabin vehicle. Two days later, the kidnappers contacted Ghulam Shabir’s familyon phone and introduced themselves as Major Asfandand belongingto an intelligence agency. Later, he met the family of GhulamShabbir and demanded Rs 50 million in exchange for his release.
