Since seven decades, the state of Jammu and Kashmir has been the victim of India’s barbarism. The Kashmiri youth prefer martyrdom to bow down before a tyrant government. The BJP-led Modi-government has revoked the decades’ old Articles (370 & 35-A) from its Constitution.
However, the State of Jammu & Kashmir has never been a part of India, for it is a disputed territory. Furthermore, Indian Government snatched constitutional authority from the political mainstream of the valley in a broad daylight. Prior to this, any Indian law had to pass through Jammu & Kashmir’s Legislative Assembly. The entire political mainstream has been kept under house arrest. They cut off communication, imposed indefinite lockdown. People are in a severe shortage of food, drinking water and medicines. The entire region is cut off from the rest of the world.
Article 370 and 35-A exempt the J&K from Indian constitution. Furthermore, these Articles restrict non J&K resident to purchase property, get scholarship and restrict companies to hire any non J&K resident, if companies operate in the held state. Indian government deployed additional troops in the valley in order to suppress the voice of Kashmiri people. Even they were not allowed to offer Eid-ul-Adha prayer which is the holy obligation of Muslims. However, Kashmiri people seek help from Pakistan; Pakistan is making all out efforts to take this issue to the international forums.
