In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, renowned student leader and social activist of South Kashmir, Syed Tajamul Imran distributed cricket uniforms among young cricketers of Shopian in memory of his martyred brother, Syed Ruban.
This was the third time when cricket uniforms along with other cricket equipment were distributed among players in the district. A cricket match too was played in his memory.
“In memory of my brother Shahed Syed Ruban, I distributed some 70 cricket uniforms as of now among the young talented and aspiring cricketer of Shopian district to fulfil the dreams of my brother, as he was also a brilliant cricket player of the district,” said Tajamul Imran.
Syhed Ruban was martyred by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Hapatnar area of Charar-e-Sharif on 21 January 2019.—KMS
