Sikhs observe Aug 5 as siege day in Jammu

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, various Sikh Organizations including Sikh Intellectuals Circle J&K, International Sikh Federation, Sikh Students Federation, J&K Sikh Council, International Gurmat Taksal and the Sikh Youths of J&K observed August 5 as Siege Day, today.
Senior Sikh leaders of these organizations, today, lodged protest under the leadership of S. Narinder Singh Khalsa in Jammu. They demanded restoration of special status, release of all political detainees and resolution of the Kashmir dispute. S. Narindcr Khalsa strongly condemned the imposition of strict curfew on other restrictions and said it is contrary to the Indian claims of normalcy and acceptance of abrogation of special status by the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.—KMS
