The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has started a Pilot Survey to reduce Gender Gap between male and female voters in the country. The ECP’s Gender Affairs and Electoral Roles Wings, in consultation with the Provincial Election Commissioners have identified 229 Census Block Codes (CBCs) in 21 Tehsils across the country having a significant gender gap in the voter registration.
Door to door survey in the aforementioned areas to know the reasons behind the gender gap in voter registration is starting on July 16, 2020.—INP
