Zehra Nigah is not only a poet of sublime thought but at the same sensitivities of women’s delicate self are also reflected in her poetry. This was said by the acclaimed poet Iftikhar Arif while presiding over an online “Taqreeb-e-Pazeerai” celebrating Pakistan Academy of Letter’s (PAL) “Dr Muhammad Iqbal Award” for Zehra Nigah’s book ‘Gul-e-Chandni.’
The event was organized by the National Language Promotion Department (NLPD). Iftikhar Arif said that Zehra Nigah is considered as the representative of female poets in Pakistan.
He also mentioned her books ‘Shaam ka Pehla Tara,’ , ‘Varq’ and ‘Faraaq kay Baad.’
