A high level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday reviewed the internal and external security situation and resolved that sovereignty of Pakistan will be protected at all costs.
The meeting also attended by the top military leadership was important in the backdrop of some important regional changes as well as the recent terrorist attack on Pakistan Stock Exchange in Karachi. In recent times, our arch enemy India has not only increased ceasefire violations on the Line of Control but also activated its sleeper cells inside Pakistan to destabilize the country. The attack on PSX and the four other attacks pre-empted by our intelligence agencies in recent days are a clear proof of India’s sinister designs against Pakistan. It is, however, matter of satisfaction that our civilian and military leadership are on the same page and are fully cognizant of the threats emanating from the eastern neighbour. It is only through unity in our ranks that we can counter these threats. Nothing good can be expected from Modi’s India which can go to any length against Pakistan to divert the world attention from the embarrassments it faced most recently especially during the physical clash with Chinese soldiers at Ladakh. Whilst our forces have the ability and capability to compel the enemy bite the dust but in our view any conflict between the two nuclear neighbouring countries would have disastrous consequences not only for the region but the world at large. Hence, it is important the major capitals take notice of the Indian belligerence towards its neighbours, especially Pakistan, and stop it from waging proxies against it. It is also for our Foreign Office and the Government to intensify diplomatic efforts to unmask the evil terrorist face of India at the world level. We really appreciate the gesture of our time tested friend China for bringing a resolution in the UNSC condemning the terrorist attack on PSX. In the same spirit of cooperation, we are confident that India’s sabotage designs against the CPEC will be thwarted.
