Four people were killed in firing in Peshawar’s Regi on Saturday afternoon. The incident happened at the house of a man named Ashraf Gul. Brothers Aurangzeb and Shakir and their nephew were killed along with a woman from Gul’s family. The suspect fled after the incident. The relation between the victims is still unclear. The funeral prayers for the three men was held at 3pm. According to the police, the fight was over a longtime dispute.
In Okara, the police arrested a woman and her accomplice involved in murder of her husband here on Saturday. Police said that the woman hailing from Okara city had illicit relations with another person but her husband got the information about her misdeeds. He tortured his wife and warned her of dire consequences if she met her friend again.
To get rid of husband, the woman along with her cohort killed him and threw the body in canal near her residence a couple of days earlier. The body was recovered and police over suspicion arrested wife and during preliminary investigation she admitted the crime.—INP
