Eminent educationist, a role model for young teachers, colleagues and students Principal of the Islamabad Model Postgraduate College of Commerce (IMPCC) H-8/4 Prof Izhar-ul-Hassan Bukhari retired from service on June 30 (Tuesday) after attaining superannuation.
During the 36-year academic career, Prof Bukhari groomed hundreds of new colleagues and thousands of students who joined his college. Besides teaching, he conducted and supervised exams and also served on a number of colleges and served as principal of four boys colleges during his illustrious career.
Earlier he also served at Islamabad Model Postgraduate College H-8 as Vice Principal and Head of Urdu Department.
Prof Izhar Bukhari joined the Federal Education department as lecturer on September 30, 1984 and delegated his duties with utmost diligence and dedication.
On the last day of service at the college, the staff of the Federal Government College Teachers bade him farewell and termed his tenure as a memorable period in the college’s history. They wished him well for the life ahead and commended his services for the college.
Federal Government College Teachers Association (FGCTA) has also extended best wishes and congratulated him on successful completion of his tenure.
