Foreign direct investment (FDI) during May’20 witnessed at USD 120mn compared to net inflow of USD 254mn during May’19. During 11MFY20, Foreign direct investment has witnessed an increase of 91% YoY to USD 2,401mn.
China remained the largest investor with net FDI of USD 857mn during 11MFY20 compared with USD 108mn during same period last year.
Norway was second largest investor with net Foreign direct investment of USD 346mn during 11MFY20 compared with net investment of USD 111mn during same period last year.
During 11MFY20, major investment was poured in Power sector (USD 750mn) followed by Communications Sector (USD 584mn) and Oil & Gas Sector (USD 276mn).
