Punjab has completed its latest polio vaccination campaign in 12 districts, with activities in Lahore continuing until Sunday to ensure all children under five receive polio drops.
More than six million children were vaccinated during the first three days, including over 900,000 in Lahore, 600,000 in Rawalpindi and 700,000 in Multan.
Punjab Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) Coordinator Khalid Parvaiz visited Rajanpur and Rojhan to review vaccination activities, assess frontline teams’ performance and engage local representatives to strengthen campaign coverage.
He directed district teams to improve field monitoring, follow vaccination microplans and ensure that all missed children receive polio drops.
Catch-up vaccination activities are underway, with teams also deployed at government hospitals. Parents can report children missed during the campaign by calling 1122 or take them to the nearest immunisation centre.
The Punjab EOC urged parents to ensure their children receive polio drops during every campaign to help protect them against the poliovirus and support efforts to make Pakistan polio-free.
