RAWALPINDI – For Pakistanis hoping to start a career in armed forces, a new opportunity opened as Pakistan Army is recruiting Junior Commissioned Officers for its Army Education Corps.
The intake covers applicants from Pakistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Both married and unmarried men can apply, while civilians and serving Army personnel must satisfy separate age and service conditions. Registration began on November 1, 2026, with applications being handled through Army Selection and Recruitment Centres.

For civilian applicants, the age bracket is 20 to 28 years as of February 28, 2027. Serving Army personnel can apply between the ages of 20 and 35, provided they have completed one to 16 years of military service.
The minimum height requirement is 5 feet 6 inches, stated in the recruitment notice as 167.5 centimetres.
Applicants must possess at least a Bachelor of Science (BSc) or an Associate Degree in Science in the advertised subject areas. Candidates holding BS or MS qualifications will receive preference. The recruitment covers seven subject, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology encompassing Zoology or Botany, Geography, Computer Science and Commerce.
Candidates must choose one of these subjects for the specialist component of the written examination when submitting their applications.
The selection process will begin with intelligence and psychological assessments at the relevant recruitment centre. Those who clear this stage will proceed to a written examination covering English, Urdu, Islamic Studies, General Knowledge, History and their chosen specialist subject.
Candidates who pass the written examination will then undergo medical examinations and interviews.
Applicants must bring their original educational certificates along with two attested photocopies, four passport-size photographs, a Computerised National Identity Card and a domicile certificate. Candidates from Azad Jammu and Kashmir must also provide a State Subject Certificate.
To apply, eligible candidates should obtain the prescribed application form from their nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Centre (AS&RC) and complete registration within the announced period.
