NISSHIN – India have won the toss and decided to bat first against Pakistan in final match of the cricket event at the Asian Games 2026 today at Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin, Japan.
Pakistan secured a place in the men’s cricket final after defeating Bangladesh by six wickets in a rain-affected semifinal in Nisshin, Japan.
The match was reduced to 13 overs per side because of a wet outfield. After winning the toss, Pakistan captain Sahibzada Farhan opted to field first.
Bangladesh scored 111 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 13 overs.
Pakistan successfully chased the revised target of 112, winning the semifinal by six wickets.
India joined Pakistan in the gold medal match after defeating Sri Lanka by 124 runs in the second semifinal.
India set Sri Lanka a target of 170 runs, but the Sri Lankan side was bowled out for just 45, giving India a commanding victory.
