Petrol Price nears Rs393 in Pakistan as Govt unveils New Rates for weekend

Expected Petrol Diesel Prices In Pakistan Amid Global Oil Dip

ISLAMABAD — Pakistanis are facing another hit at petrol pumps, as petrol and high-speed diesel prices set to rise again just a day after the previous fuel-price revision was announced earlier this week.

Under latest announcement by the Petroleum Division, petrol will become Rs2.10 per litre more expensive, taking the new price to Rs392.76 per litre from October 3. High-speed diesel (HSD) will also edge higher, increasing by 30 paisas per litre to Rs399.64.

Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot prices under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.

The Petroleum Division linked the latest adjustment to movements in international oil markets, including changes in Platts rates, premiums and other related costs.

The timing of the latest hike is likely to draw attention from motorists, as the previous revision had only come into force on October 2. Under that adjustment, petrol rose by Rs3.26 per litre, reaching Rs390.66. HSD, meanwhile, received a Rs1.01 per litre reduction, bringing its rate down to Rs399.34.
