KARACHI – The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has increased the monthly stipend for postgraduate doctors following approval from Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab.
A notification approving the increase has been issued, according to which the stipend has been raised by Rs29,390.
Following the increase, postgraduate doctors working under KMC will now receive a monthly stipend of Rs104,390.
The revised stipend structure also includes an increase for FCPS and MCPS trainees.
However, no decision has yet been taken regarding an increase in the stipend for house officers.
According to the notification, their stipend will be reviewed after assessing their performance.
