ISLAMABAD – Security arrangements have been stepped up across Islamabad ahead of PTI’s planned long march on September 27, with containers placed on sides of several major roads.
Authorities have cancelled staff leave at PIMS and Polyclinic hospitals and requisitioned additional police personnel from Punjab and Sindh in anticipation of the protest.

Meanwhile, Islamabad Police said all entry and exit points of the capital remain open and traffic within the city is currently moving normally.
SP Industrial Area Dr Ayaz urged citizens not to pay attention to rumours, saying any decision to close roads would depend on the protest situation and public safety.

Police said residents would be informed promptly about any changes and advised them to rely only on Islamabad Police’s official social media pages and FM radio for verified updates on road closures and traffic conditions.
Authorities said the situation is being monitored continuously to maintain public safety and ensure smooth traffic flow.
