All Parties Hurriyet Conference-M’s Convener Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Convener in Chair has condemned India’s brutality against the people of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. May 29 each year is marked the Shopian Rape/Murders Day by Kashmiris when in 2009 Indian occupation forces had abducted, raped and murdered two sisters Asiya and Neelofar.
A Jan Commission had held responsible Indian armed forces responsible for abduction, rape murder crimes but no justice has been done thus far, he reminded.
Two young women, Asiya (17) and her sister Neelofar (22), married to Shakeel Ahmad Ahanger were abducted by Indian armed forces when they were returning home from their family orchard in Nagbal area of South Kashmir’s Shopian.
On the next day, they were found dead at Bongam,Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. There has been no justice despite findings by Jan Commission.
People of Occupied Jammu Kashmir and family of Asiya and Neelofar are still waiting for fair trial and demanding that the persons involved in this ‘heinous’ crime should be brought to book.—INP
