ISLAMBAD – Defence Savings Certificates and Behbood Savings Certificates are one of the popular products of the National Savings Centre as they aim at catering the financing needs of investors.
The profit rates on the products are revised regularly as they were announced in ongoing month of September 2026. However, the profit rates have been decreased this time.
To meet the financial needs of long term category investors and provide them with the opportunity to take maximum benefit of their savings, the Government of Pakistan lunched Defence Savings Certificates (DSCs) scheme in the year 1966.
All Pakistani Nationals as well as Overseas Pakistanis can purchase DSCs being an adult singly, a minor with guardian and two adults jointly, where the payments can be received either by both jointly or any one of the holders
Defence Savings Profit Rate September 2026
Following are the profits that a person can earn on investment Rs100,000 until 10 years maturity:
First Year: Rs110,000
Second Year: Rs121,000
Third Year: Rs133,000
Fourth Year: Rs147,000
Fifth Year: Rs163,000
Sixth Year: Rs182,000
Seventh Year: Rs204,000
Eighth Year: Rs230,000
Ninth Year: Rs262,000
Tenth Year: Rs300,000
Behbood Savings Profit Rate
The federal government launched the Behbood Savings Certificates with a 10-years maturity period in 2003 keeping in view the hardships faced by the widows and senior citizens.
The government offers monthly profit on the saving certificates.
After latest revision, the profit rate on Rs100,000 investment in Behbood Certificates stands at Rs1,050 or 12.60%.
