LAHORE – Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal has revealed that she was under severe mental and emotional stress and contemplated suicide just 12 days before her wedding.
In a recent interview, Momina Iqbal spoke about the distress she experienced during a dispute involving Punjab Assembly Member (MPA) Saqib Chadhar.
The actress said the fear that her private material might be leaked placed her under immense psychological pressure. She said the situation became so overwhelming that she began thinking about ending her life 12 days before her wedding.
“I was completely broken emotionally,” she said while recalling the difficult period.
Momina Iqbal said she was also afraid that her fiancé, Hamza, might leave her because of the controversy. However, she said he remained by her side and provided her with emotional support and encouragement.
According to the actress, her fiancé gave her the strength and courage to face the situation and helped her cope with the intense pressure she was experiencing.
Iqbal’s comments came while she was discussing the impact of the controversy on her personal life and mental well-being.
