According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a Shallow westerly wave prevails over upper parts of Pakistan. Weak moist currents from the Arabian Sea are penetrating northeastern parts of the country.

Monsoon rains and gusty winds are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and at scattered places in upper Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir on Tuesday night and Wednesday, with occasional breaks.
Temperatures
Daytime temperatures in Islamabad and Rawalpindi are expected to remain between 35°C and 37°C on Wednesday and between 34°C and 36°C on Thursday.

Over the past 24 hours, hot and humid weather prevailed over most parts of the country. However, rains occurred in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Upper Punjab and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
