General Syed Aamer Raza, HI (M), S Bt, has formally assumed command as Commander National Strategic Command in a significant development for Pakistan’s strategic defence leadership.
The change of command was marked by a ceremonial Guard of Honour, reflecting the importance of the appointment. As part of the proceedings, General Syed Aamer Raza paid homage to the nation’s martyrs by laying a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offering Fateha in recognition of their sacrifices for the country’s security and sovereignty.
Following the ceremony, the newly appointed Commander National Strategic Command called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, at General Headquarters (GHQ).
During the meeting, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir congratulated General Syed Aamer Raza on assuming his new responsibilities and conveyed his best wishes for a successful tenure.
Two military leaders also dicussed continuity of leadership and the armed forces’ commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, operational preparedness, and national security.
