QUETTA – Pakistani security forces killed four militants and arrested several suspected facilitators during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Mastung district, according to security sources.
The operation was carried out in the Khad Kocha area of Mastung, where security forces targeted militants identified by the authorities as belonging to “Fitna al-Hindustan.”
Security sources said the four militants were killed during the operation. A large cache of weapons, ammunition, and other military equipment was recovered from the site.
The forces also seized several motorcycles allegedly being used by the militants during their activities.
According to the sources, intelligence reports indicate that several other militants were injured during the operation and managed to flee the area. Authorities are working to verify their identities and whereabouts.
In addition to the militants killed, security forces detained a number of individuals suspected of facilitating militant activities. The arrested suspects are expected to be questioned as part of the ongoing investigation.
Search and clearance operations remain underway in and around the area to locate any remaining militants, recover additional weapons, and eliminate potential threats.
Security officials said the operation forms part of continued efforts to dismantle militant networks and improve the security situation in Balochistan, where security forces have intensified intelligence-based operations in recent months.
They reiterated that such operations will continue until militant groups and their support networks are neutralised.
