QUETTA – Pakistani forces dealt a blow to terrorist networks during a series of intelligence-based operations in Balochistan, eliminating six terrorists in Mastung while arresting three female suicide bombers and several facilitators in a major counterterrorism success.
The intelligence-led operation was launched after credible information about the presence of militants in Mastung and surrounding areas. During the operation, security forces engaged the terrorists in an intense exchange of fire, killing six militants linked to terrorist activities.
Security personnel held three female suicide bombers before they could execute their planned attacks. Several other terrorists and facilitators were also taken into custody during the coordinated raids, dealing another setback to the militant network operating in the province.
Security forces destroyed multiple terrorist hideouts during the operation and recovered a cache of weapons, ammunition, and other militant equipment believed to have been used for planning and carrying out attacks.
The latest intelligence-based operations are part of Pakistan’s ongoing campaign to dismantle terrorist infrastructure in Balochistan. Security officials reaffirmed that operations against militant groups will continue until every terrorist network and its facilitators are eliminated, underscoring the state’s resolve to restore lasting peace and stability in the province.
