RAWALPINDI – An Additional District and Sessions Court has sentenced Farrukh Khokhar, the main accused in the Majid Satti murder case, to life imprisonment after finding him guilty along with two other suspects.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Afsha Ejaz Sufi announced the verdict, awarding life sentences to Farrukh Khokhar and two other convicts. Another accused, identified as Waseem, was acquitted due to insufficient evidence against him.
Following the announcement of the decision, Farrukh Khokhar and the two convicted individuals present in the courtroom were taken into custody.
Khokhar had been out on bail, while the other two convicts were brought to court from jail for the hearing.
The court ordered that Farrukh Khokhar be transferred to Adiala Jail under strict security arrangements.
According to the case details, Majid Satti was allegedly killed on August 23, 2022. A case was registered by Sadiqabad Police, with investigators alleging that the killing was linked to a dispute over preventing an alleged land occupation attempt.
The deceased, Majid Satti, was associated with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Farukh Khokhar, who had previously resigned from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), later joined the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI).
