KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan posted fresh gains amid an upward trend in the international bullion market, while silver surged to a new all-time high in the local market.
On Saturday, the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs1,100 per tola, taking the domestic rate to Rs433,536. The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also moved higher, rising by Rs943 to settle at Rs371,687. The increase comes a day after gold prices registered a decline, with the per-tola rate falling by Rs1,400 to Rs432,436 on Friday.

Internationally, gold prices also edged higher. The global bullion rate rose by $11 per ounce to $4,111, a figure that includes a $20 premium, providing support to the domestic market’s upward movement.
Meanwhile, silver continued its strong rally, with the local price increasing by Rs30 per tola to reach Rs6,462, marking a new record high.
