KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan moved lower on Friday, with per-tola rate falling to Rs432,436 in line with a decline in international bullion prices. Meanwhile, silver prices bucked the trend, posting slight gains in local market.
On Friday, the price of single tola of gold declined by Rs1,400 to settle at Rs432,436. The price of 10 grams also fell by Rs1,200, closing at Rs370,744.
The latest decline comes just a day after gold surged by Rs3,600 per tola, pushing the local price to Rs433,836 on Thursday.

The downturn in Pakistan followed a slide in global bullion prices. In the international market, gold shed $14 per ounce, with the price settling at $4,100 per ounce, including a premium of $20.
While gold lost ground, silver bucked the trend. The price of the white metal edged up by Rs11, taking the local rate to Rs6,432 per tola.
