YouTube Sensation Rajab Butt deactivates social media accounts; but why?

YouTube star Rajab Butt announces deactivation of his social media accounts amid speculation.

KARACHI – YouTuber Rajab Butt temporarily deactivated his YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram accounts, sending shockwaves through his massive online following.

The sudden move comes after a controversial social media star made a series of posts defending his mother and sister in what appears to be family drama.

The whole move revolves around his wife, Eman, who allegedly did not want their son, Kiwan Sultan Butt, to appear in his vlogs. Butt shared screenshots of conversations with Eman’s brother, which some podcast hosts have since used to leak voice recordings involving Eman and a relative named Maajee, further fueling speculation online.

Rumors quickly spread that Butt’s accounts had been deleted, but his close friend Nadeem Naniwala clarified in a video that the YouTuber voluntarily deactivated his accounts and is expected to return to social media soon. Despite the clarifications, Rajab Butt has yet to release an official statement, leaving fans anxiously guessing about the real story behind the drama.

Supporters flooded social media with opinions and trending hashtags, hoping for a peaceful resolution to the family dispute. Many eagerly await Butt’s return to his YouTube channel, where he has built a loyal fanbase over the years.

In another upodate, social media influencers Rajab Butt and Nadeem Mubarak (Nani Wala) had their pre-arrest bail extended by Lahore Sessions Court in a case involving the alleged promotion of online gambling apps. The hearing, held under tight security, was adjourned after NCCIA requested more time to submit its investigation report. Interim bail was extended until January 26.

The controversy stems from September 2025, when Butt was booked for promoting gambling apps on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, while Mubarak was also accused and arrested for using a fake vehicle registration number linked to jailed PTI founder Imran Khan.

Separately, the Punjab Bar Council reinstated Advocate Mian Ali Ashfaq, Butt’s lawyer, after suspending his licence over a complaint from the Karachi Bar Association. The matter has been referred to the council’s disciplinary committee for further review, and the Lahore High Court has been formally informed.
