Lahore leads the world’s most polluted cities list as the Air Quality Index (AQI) hits a hazardous level of 360 on Tuesday.
According to the data collected from the IQ Air website on Tuesday at 01:08 pm, Cairo (Egypt) is in second place with an AQI of 297 (very unhealthy), followed by India’s Delhi with an AQI of 242 (very unhealthy).
Kolkata (India) ranked fourth with an AQI of 192 (unhealthy), followed by Sarajevo (Bosnia Herzegovina) with an AQI of 188 (unhealthy).
Karachi (Pakistan) ranked sixth with an AQI of 186 (unhealthy), closely followed by Chengdu (China) with an AQI of 175 (unhealthy).
Kuwait City (Kuwait) is ranked eighth with an AQI of 167 (unhealthy), closely followed by Vietnam’s Hanoi with an AQI of 163 (unhealthy). Kabul (Afghanistan) is ranked 10th with an AQI of 162 (unhealthy).
AQI of the top city (Lahore) is hazardous, that of the second and third (Cairo, Delhi) is very unhealthy, and that of the fourth to 12th cities is unhealthy.
