Commissioner IftikharShallwani visited different parts of the city to observe whether shopkeepers and buyers were observing the SOPs notified by the government including those related to maintaining social distancing, and wearing mask. He took round of various markets and bazaars including Allah Wala, Steel and Bearing markets, He walked along the roads in various areas and met shop keepers and the buyers. He distributed the masks among the shopkeepers and those buyers who were not wearing the masks. IftikharShallwani asked the shop keepers to follow the SOPs in letter and spirits and ensure that no one of their employees as well as customers were seen without wearing masks. He said shopkeepers were responsible to ensure the SOPs are being observed by the workers of the shops as well as the buyers. The Commissioner also appealed to the citizens to please follow the safety distance wear the masks for the safety of their selves. He also warned the shopkeepers that the shops those found violating the SOPs would be sealed.
