KARACHI – The German Consulate General in Karachi has announced that it will be moving the Employment and Student visa categories to the Consular Services Portal starting December 12, 2025.
This change aims to speed up visa processing and increase the number of visas issued, it said in a statement shared on Facebook.
All existing waiting lists for these visa categories are now closed and will be deleted. Applicants with existing appointments are requested to attend as per the previous system.
For all other cases, applicants are advised to start their applications on the new Consular Services Portal.
The online application for Student visas can be submitted via (https://digital.diplo.de/studium), while Employment, Training, Jobseeker, and other long-term visa applications can be submitted through (https://digital.diplo.de/visa-ewt).
The process for short-term visas remains unchanged.
