Six CM House staffers test Covid-19 positive

At least six people working at the Sindh Chief Minister House here have tested positive for coronavirus, health officials confirmed on Saturday. According to the officials, the tests were conducted after CM Murad Ali Shah’s Special Assistant Rashid Rabbani tested positive for the virus. Two drivers, one technician and a secretary have contracted the virus, officials added. According to Sindh health department, five people infected with the virus have died in Sindh in the last 24 hours. At least 1,080 new cases, including 691 in Karachi, have been reported in the province on Saturday. Moreover, a three-year-old passed away from coronavirus on Saturday, according to the National Institute of Child Health (NICH). According to NICH head Dr Jamal Raza, the child was brought to the health facility four days ago from a private hospital. Dr Jamal said that the child was infected with the coronavirus and was also suffering from other diseases. The news broke a few hours after CM Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah said in a video message that more than 1,000 coronavirus cases had been reported across the province over the past 24 hours. CM Murad said 5,498 tests were conducted out of which the results of 20% or more patients than 1,000 came back positive.
