Poets from all over the country and around the world took part in the first ever online International online Hamdia Mushaira or poetic recital organized by Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) on Thursday keeping intact the principle of social distancing in these coronavirus times.
The Mushaira presided over by veteran poet Dr Ehsan Akbar. Dr. Yousuf khushk, Chairman Pakistan Academy of Letters presented an introductory note. Prof. Rabb Tabassum moderated the Mushaira.
Federal Secretary, National Heritage and Culture Division Inamullah Khan was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Among those who presented their kalam on the occasion included Dr Khursheed Rizvi, Saud Usmani, Abbas Tabish from Lahore, Dr. Tariq Hashmi from Faisalabad, Muhammad Mukhtar Ali from Multan, Jabbar Wasif from Rahim Yar Khan, Dr. Javed Manzar from Karachi, Ahmad Hussain Mujahid from Abbottabad, Mohsin Shakeel, Jahan Ara Tabassum from Quetta, Ali Akbar Abbas, Hassan Abbas Raza, Ziauddin Naeem, Dr. Waheed Ahmed, Manzar Naqvi, Dr. Farhat Abbas, Dr. Najiba Arif, Shakeel Jazeb.
