Former president Asif Ali Zardari on Friday was shifted to Adiala Jail on a three-day judicial remand in connection with the long-running mega money laundering case. Zardari was produced before Judge Muhammad Bashir in an accountability court by the National Accountability Bureau personnel earlier in the day. The NAB prosecutor asked the court to extend Zardari’s remand in light of the recent developments in the case.
NAB summons Shahbaz on Aug 23 in sugar mills case

The National Accountability Bureau on Friday summoned Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif on August 23 owing to significant progress in Chaudhry Sugar Mills and Lahore Waste Management Company scandal.
Pakistan Muslim League-N vice president Maryam Nawaz has already been arrested in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills reference, whereas, its shareholder Shahbaz Sharif has been summoned by NAB after expanding the scope of the further investigation.
Alleged millions of dollars were laundered through the Chaudhry Sugar Mills, due to which NAB is investigating all of its shareholders.
