Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) has announced a protest at the Sindh Assembly on January 23, demanding immediate attention to various educational issues, including the performance of the Intermediate Board, the autonomy of universities, and the restoration of student union elections.
IJT Karachi’s Nazim expressed serious reservations regarding the functioning of the Intermediate Board under the leadership of Education Minister Sardar Ali Shah. The group demanded that previously conducted investigations into the Board’s operations be made public, as no action has been taken against those found responsible.
Instead, they claimed, those involved were rewarded. IJT called for the formation of a non-partisan committee with representatives from NED University and the University of Karachi to conduct a fresh investigation.
