Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Engr Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, inaugurated a two-day exhibition titled “Mera Brand Pakistan” at the Expo Center on Saturday, aimed at promoting Pakistani products as alternatives in the market.
The event, organized by the Pakistan Business Forum, witnessed significant public attendance, with over 400 stalls and 500 brands participating. Engr. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman criticized the current ruling elite, accusing them of focusing on pleasing the United States rather than prioritizing the welfare of the Pakistani people. He stressed that Pakistan could never achieve progress or stand on its own feet as long as it remained under the influence of U.S. policies.
Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Engr Hafiz Naeemur Rehman also expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people, condemning the U.S. and Israeli actions in Gaza and highlighting the importance of boycotting Israeli products. Engr Hafiz Naeemur Rehman further emphasized that Pakistani industrialists should strive to produce affordable and quality products, making them easily accessible to the public. He urged the government to provide industries with cheaper electricity and other incentives to help reduce costs. The event was also addressed by Javed Bilwani, President of Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, who thanked Hafiz Naeemur Rehman and the Pakistan Business Forum for their efforts in promoting local products and for their role in the campaign to boycott Israeli goods.
He commended the growth of the exhibition, noting the increase in the number of stalls and participating brands compared to the previous year. The exhibition, which aims to introduce Pakistani products to the public and encourage local production, continues to run through the weekend.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman reiterated his support for Palestinian resistance and called for further solidarity with their cause, praising the Pakistani public for their continued advocacy for Palestinian rights. He urged local businesses to follow suit by making their products more affordable and accessible.
