DUBAI – It is mandatory for foreign nationals, including Pakistanis, travelling to the United Arab Emirates for employment to clear the mandatory medical tests as the authorities can reject the work visa if you fail the tests.

The foreign workers undergo medical examination after reaching the UAE in order get their work visa pasted on their passport. Those who clear the tests are issued the visas.

A person failing the tests is repatriated to the home country as authorities UAE does not compromise on health of its citizens and residents.

An official of a medical test centre in Abu Dhabi said that UAE has set four medical tests in line with the international standards to assess the health of the foreign workers.

He said that “there are many job opportunities in UAE labor market, so the general health screening for newcomers can be done in advance.”

He further added that a central medical test center has been established for job seekers, which is of high quality.

Mandatory Tests for UAE Work Visa

The foreign works are required to under the four mandatory medical tests before getting the UAE work visa pasted on their passports.

The tests include CBC (Complete Blood Count), chest ultrasound to assess the lungs and respiratory system, as well as examinations for joints and blood pressure, among others.

It is recommended that the foreign workers, including Pakistanis, should take these medical tests in their home country before travelling to the UAE in order avoid any financial losses.
