LAHORE – Pakistan Observer, one of premier media outlets, joined hands with Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) for the MGSHSS Career Networking Event.
The event took place in provincial capital on Wednesday, November 13, and was organized by the Career Services Office (CSO) in collaboration with the Mushtaq Ahmad Ghurmani School of Social Sciences and Humanities (MGSHSS) at LUMS.
Representing the media sector, Pakistan Observer’s team included Mr. Abdullah Gauhar Malik, Digital Team Lead; Mr. Fahd Gauhar Malik, Chief Digital Strategist; and Ms. Kajal Manshad, Deputy Content Head. The trio addressed a diverse audience of over 150 students, sharing their expertise on the evolving media landscape, the growing influence of digital platforms, and the role of youth in shaping the future of journalism.
The speakers emphasized importance of innovation and storytelling in modern journalism, stressing how the digital transformation is reshaping news consumption and content creation. The session also highlighted vital role that digital media now plays in communication and dissemination of information.
The collab provided valuable opportunity for LUMS students to engage with key players from the media industry, gaining insights that will aid them in navigating the dynamic career paths.
