LAHORE – Chicken meat and egg prices witnessed an upward trend in Lahore and other cities of Punjab on Friday as winter season is knocking at the door.
The chicken price increased by Rs22 per kilogramme to reach Rs526 as compared to yesterday’s Rs504 in the provincial capital.
Furthermore, the live chicken price moved up by Rs15 to settle at Rs349 in wholesale market and Rs363 in retail market.
Similarly, the price of eggs increased by Rs2 to reach Rs32 per dozen with rates continuously to increase due to winters.

The price of per kg chicken meat in Lahore stands at Rs526 after witnessing an increase of Rs22, as of November 8, 2024.
Pulses Prices Go Down
Meanwhile, the prices of essential pulses have moved down in Pakistan’s wholesale market. The price of black chickpeas plunged by Rs50 per kilogram while the rate of daal chana is expected to drop by Rs60 to Rs300 per kg.
The price of daal mash dropped from Rs500 per kilogram to Rs425 after registering a decline of Rs75. Similarly, the price of white chickpeas plunged by Rs45 to settle at Rs355 per kg.
