HBL, UBL, Meezan Bank, BankIslami, Samba Bank among 36 premises sealed in Lahore

LAHORE—The Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Agency (TEPA) of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) sealed more than 36 commercial buildings for violation of parking bylaws in different areas of Lahore on Thursday.

Besides sealing commercial buildings, TEPA’s enforcement wing also removed illegal signboards during operation in Shadman I and Gulberg II.

The sealed premises include HBL, UBL, BankIslami, Meezan Bank, Samba Bank, Depilex, private hospitals, pharmacies, food outlets, private offices and other businesses.

TEPA’s Director Enforcement supervised the operations, which were carried out with the help of the Police.

According to the officials, several notices were served to the owners of these buildings before the operations were carried out.

LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed continuing indiscriminate operations against violation of parking bylaws and encroachments in Lahore.
