RAWALPINDI – Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Academy Asghar Khan hosted grand graduation ceremony on the completion of 150th GD(P), 96th Engineering, 106th Air Defence, 26th A&SD, 9th Logistics, and 132nd Combat Support Courses.

General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and other officials graced the occasion. Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, was also present to witness the momentous event.

A total of 139 Aviation Cadets, 8 Gentleman Cadets, and 2 Naval Cadets graduated during the ceremony. The event celebrated the outstanding achievements of these cadets, with several prestigious awards presented for top performances across various disciplines.

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Trophy recognized best overall performance in General Service Training, and presented awards to Aviation Cadet Sports Sergeant Imran Raza. Aviation Cadet Usman Rasheed was honored with the Trophy for the best performance in the Combat Support Course. Chief of the Air Staff Trophy for excellence in the Air Defence Course went to Aviation Cadet Sergeant Haseeb Abdul Malik.

Pakistan Naval Cadet Sergeant Hafiz Ali Asad received the coveted Sword of Honour for the best performance at the College of Aeronautical Engineering, while Aviation Cadet Abdullah Saad Ali, Academy Under Officer, was awarded the Sword of Honour for top performance at the College of Flying Training.

The audience was treated to a spectacular aerial display by the PAF Academy’s “Sherdils” aerobatic team, thrilling the crowd with their precision maneuvers. The ceremony also featured a formation flying display by PAF fighter jets, including the Mirage, F-16, JF-17, and J-10C, showcasing the Air Force’s operational capabilities and professionalism.

In his address to the graduates, the top general extended heartfelt congratulations to the cadets and their families, commending them for their dedication and hard work throughout their training. The ceremony was attended by senior military officers, civilian officials, and the proud families of the graduating cadets.
