ISLAMABAD – An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on Thursday handed over the police on seven-day physical remand in a case related to arson and vandalism.

ATC Judge Amjad Shah passed the order after the police produced Azam Swati before it after completion of two-day physical remand.

During the hearing, the police asked the court for further physical remand for Azam Swati.

The court allowed seven-day physical remand.

Azam Swati was booked under terrorism charges at the Taxila police station.

He was accused of involvement in arson, vandalism, riots, and interfering with government affairs. Just two days ago, Azam Swati was re-arrested immediately after being released from court.

The former federal minister was re-arrested by the police as soon as he was released from Attock Jail.
