Karachi is currently experiencing a scorching heatwave, with daytime temperatures consistently ranging from 38°C to 40°C. The hot weather is attributed to a high-pressure system situated near the country’s coastal areas, which has been disrupting the sea breeze that typically moderates temperatures in the metropolis.

Weather analyst Memon noted that the winds from the North-West and North-East have also been impacted by this atmospheric phenomenon. Unfortunately, he ruled out any immediate relief from the intense heat for the remainder of October, stating that the effects of the current high air pressure are likely to persist until the beginning of November. However, a change is on the horizon. Memon indicated that the high-pressure system is expected to start dissipating around November 6 or 7, paving the way for more comfortable weather conditions. Mid-November is anticipated to bring a noticeable drop in daytime temperatures, which are forecasted to range between 32°C and 34°C. This period will also herald a shift in the nighttime climate, with cooler temperatures expected to settle in.
