MOSCOW – Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday warned that if Ukraine attempted to acquire nuclear weapons, appropriate action would be taken.
In his statement, the Russian president warned western countries that any attempt to transfer nuclear weapons to Ukraine would not go unnoticed.
He reiterated that if Ukraine tried to obtain nuclear weapons, appropriate action would be taken.
Putin added that even before the war started, Ukraine had expressed its desire to possess nuclear weapons, but Russia would not allow this under any circumstances.
The Russian president further said that the negotiations on the Istanbul document with Ukraine could take place in Saudi Arabia.
