Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has expressed concern over threats from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party regarding constitutional amendments.
Speaking at a media briefing in Islamabad on Wednesday, he asserted, “No one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands. If anyone attempts to cause harm, remember that the state will make an example of you.”
The minister condemned recent actions by PTI, including protests during the SCO conference, labelling them as “serious threats” and reflecting the party’s internal discord.
He noted, “They are now intimidating the public. Those who betrayed the nation have left behind a legacy of distrust. The nation knows what they have done during their rule.”
Tarar reiterated that peace and stability will guide Pakistan’s progress, highlighting the country’s advancing economy and foreign policy. He added that the state will address any elements seeking to incite violence or intimidation with firm measures.
The information minister also commended the successful hosting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit, stating that it has restored Pakistan’s international reputation.
