Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) issued a warning to fishermen, advising against venturing into deep waters due to a developing depression in the Arabian Sea. The system is expected to continue its movement towards the coast of Oman. According to the PMD’s statement, “The depression over the West-central Arabian Sea has slowly moved further westward during the past 10 hours and is currently located approximately 1,190 kilometers southwest of Karachi.”

The department predicted wind speeds of 30-40 kilometers per hour, with gusts reaching up to 50 kilometers per hour near the center of the system until the evening, after which conditions are expected to improve.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) indicated that sea conditions will remain rough until evening but should show signs of improvement thereafter. It is also anticipated that the depression will weaken into a well-marked low-pressure area by this afternoon. The officials confirmed that none of Pakistan’s coastal areas are currently under threat from the developing weather system. Earlier, Karachi experienced light showers during the early hours of Tuesday, attributed to cloud cover associated with the Arabian Sea depression.
