KARACHI –  The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) reached an agreement regarding constitutional amendments, the sources close to the development said on Monday.

The both sides reached agreement during a meeting that held at the Sindh House.

According to the sources, PPP Vice President Senator Sherry Rehman and Dr. Asim Hussain met with an MQM-P delegation at the Sindh House.

The MQM delegation included Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, Dr. Farooq Sattar, and Aminul Haque.

There was consensus between the two parties on the matter of constitutional amendments, and they agreed to move forward with transparency. The meeting also emphasized the importance of continuing such engagements.

Sherry Rehman stated that under the direction of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, they are involving all stakeholders in their constitutional draft.

She mentioned that they informed the MQM-P leaders about the establishment of constitutional courts during the meeting, where both delegations presented their priorities.

Sherry Rehman added that today’s meeting with MQM was fruitful, highlighting the longstanding relationship between MQM and PPP, and that constructive discussions took place.
