ISLAMABAD – President Asif Ali Zardari visited Embassy of the People’s Republic of China on Thursday to express condolences on behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan after the tragic killing of Chinese citizens in terror attack in Karachi.
In his visit, President Zardari strongly denounced attack and reiterated Islamabad’s full commitment to bringing the perpetrators to justice. He emphasized the nation’s solidarity with the Chinese people in this time of grief.
Speaking with Chinese Ambassador Mr. Jiang Zaidong, the President acknowledged the significant contributions of the Chinese government and people to Pakistan’s socio-economic development.
He asserted that the enemies of both nations would not succeed in disrupting the growing partnership between them. Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to ensuring the safety and security of Chinese nationals residing in the country, stating that such cowardly acts would not weaken the longstanding friendship between the two nations.
